Sounds fabulous in theory, in reality this product performs poorly. I used it on a high spec Intel Mac Book Pro and the performances I have had have been highly unreliable. It crashes at regular intervals, especially if there is any bump/knock to the hardware controller, not ideal for a club situation. The scratching tool really works the computer too hard, and for the spec I have got, makes it highly problematic. Most of the effects are pretty tacky. All in all I feel that I have wasted my money on this product, and I have never heard of any VJ who considers themselves professional, to have this in their kit. Sorry folks!

Hi, i have to say this is one of the worlds best vj tools on the market nowadays. I have used them all and this by far is the god. The software has been around for a while and the latest v4 .tokyo tottally rocks. The lower resolution rate that it runs at is so that it can display the video when and as quick as you want, i mean you can vj with this for hours and not suffer with video delay or ram errors. The console just converts you from a bedroom vj to a proffesional. Its like trying to dj from ya pc its ok but its better with a hardware mixer. ENJOY AND KEEP ON ROCKIN....

Great idea and the controller is ideal. But the software leaves a lot to be desired. Hopefully they will update this and also follow through on extra plugins that they state are available but they don't answer email to give the serial.

With this product not yet being released you may be wondering how I can write a review, but... I can! I was lucky enough to play with one of these at the London Sounds EXPO Last week! First off... You have to remember that this hardware controller and software is under 350.00! If you remember that then already its a bargain! Numark have hit the nail on the head and I was slightly off put by numark, always thought they were "plastic fantastic" but I have to say I love this NuVJ The unit is smaller than I invisioned, and the controller is solid. Each channel has its own effects aswel as a master effects that can do more complex features such as my favourite the 'Tunnel'. You can, in real time change the center of the tunnel and the speed in or out. Along with the audio SYNC you can make magical effects. There are over 100 effects and all of them are unique. The usual luminance and blur, delay are there but no suprises there! The software is easy to use and the crossfader can be used to mix between A>B but also a nice little switch can be used to change another paramater with the effects. The video scratch works but obviously not as good as a Pionner DVJ deck but as I say this thing is under 350!!! Not over a 1000!!! I really really love this and I advise anyone from beginer to novice to check it out. It not a Toys R Us play toy like I thought! Hope this helps!

I have not got the hardware controller part of this product just the software but however good the controller might be it cannot change the fact that the software is quite simply the most god awfull piece of rubish that has ever been installed on my hard drive. The concept of the software is a good one, a video mixar that can sync digital video clips to a beat along with various efects etc. However the execuationlets it dow. It apears to be of a similar quality to a poorly programmed amateur winamp plug in. It takes over your display completely and runs in some lowley resolution like 320*240. If you have more than one monitor it simpley doesn't display correctly at all unless you disable any extra monitors. It absolutely will not run in any kind of window only the low res full screen mode. It is virtually unusable and would be a disapointing download if it was free let alone something that you have to pay for. God alone knows why edirol though it was worth making a hardware device for. My advice would be to steer well clear,
