I've had the stand for over a year. I have other Quiklok products, single tier double-brace keyboard stand, guitar stands etc. and they've all been solid as a rock and I'd recommend them to anyone. On the back of previous purchases I had no hesitation buying yet another Quiklok Stand. I've gigged with this stand very often, but not multiple times every week. Unfortunately, just after a year, the 2nd Tier has now become unusable. One of the clips that hold one of the arms in place broke after about a week of having it, but it was no big issue, and not worth the inconvenience of getting it fixed - a bit of gaffa every gig would keep it in place no problems. Recently when adjusting the position of one of the upright bars, I found myself unable to tighten it back up. On further inspection I found that the thread on the screw had completely worn and will now just push into the hole therefore not securing the bar in place. I checked the other one and found that it had worn very badly also. I'm very lucky that this didn't fall apart whilst I had my equipment on it otherwise it could have resulted in a very expensive repair to my keyboard. The stand will now only work as a single tier stand, and that bit is still solid as a rock. It's just a shame that you spend so much money on a stand from a reputable company and it only lasts a year. I've contacted Quiklok about it to see what they say, and await a reply. Nevertheless it's disappointing that a stand with some light use over a year as now failed. Please note - this has no reflection on Dolphin Music as they are a great company to deal with and have been fantastic over the many years of purchases that I've made - even when I have had problems. Quiklok have unfortunately made a sub-standard product with this stand. Unless you are using it as a permanent setup with not much packing away and setting up, I wouldn't trust my equipment on it for anything longer than 6-12 months.

This stand looked sturdy and not to expensive so looked like a great deal at the time. Unfortunately I don\'t think it to be a great deal after owning it for 1.5 years, I will throw it away after finding a good one. The first problem is that the height adjustment is done in discrete steps that are very big, so you are lucky if you find a good height setting that fits your need. The second problem is that after about one year of use the central axle is bend so much the stand is not stable anymore. The stand is only used at one location and used one day week with a low/medium weight Roland FP4 stage piano. It seems the steel quality is very low and therefore bends easily, I need to find a replacement that is high quality and has more steps in its height adjustment. Rockstand however is now on my blacklist, I will check out K&M and Quicklok as they were recommended to me I really hope they have something great.

This is the best keyboard stand I\\\'ve ever seen for a modern piano. Nord have taken the (supported rear legs) principle from the Rhodes piano and actually improved it by making it even more rugged. Very easy & quick for one person to assemble. Solid, strong and immobile once you\\\'re set up. All parts fit in the case kit also available. If you have a Nord (this stand won\\\'t work with any other piano) get this stand and not of those useless generic ones. My only complaint is the expense however, it does feel like it\\\'s gonna last forever.

To be honest, I was stunned at the amount of support the L-7S produced. You could bash out scores of bars at FF and the keyboard wouldn\'t move an inch! Strong, good looking, and it comes packed in a small box for easy storage. A word to the wise tho. Remember how it came out of the box, because that\'s the only way it\'ll ever go back! That, combined with the slightly confusing assembly instructions, make sure you have an hour to assemble it! It\'s not the easiest thing to do, and can be really frustrating!

The Rockstand Double X Braced Keyboard Stand does exactly what it says on the tin (or box). Gone are the days of the unwieldly cross brace bar threatening to remove one of your digits when packing up after a gig. Likewise, gone are the days of the stand having a mind of it's own when you're negotiating the stairs with arms full of gear trying to get to the van before the landlord realises that you've nicked the peanut machine off the bar. The novel mehanism not only locks the keyboard into the X position but keeps it securely flat for transportation. Excellent idea and excellent value.

I wanted a stand that would comfortably and robustly hold a large 88 key workstation, be expandable, but most importantly have plenty of clearance underneath for legs, pedals, rack units, etc. I found what I was looking for in the Quiklok WS-550. The WS-550 is an innovative design, and will fold down into a flat T shape for transportation. When it's up and in position, it's pretty solid. I wouldn't say that it's the most solid stand out there - there's a very small amount of wobble on a carpeted floor - but it's certainly better than either the single or double braced X stands I had before it. I've got the WS550 expanded with an accessory bar that allows the addition of a fully adjustable second tier. There are many other expansion options available; and with all the options it can even be used as the basis for a full project studio workstation - speaker stands, computer monitors, etc. I would recommend this stand particularly for those that a heavy full size keyboard and want a solid stand that folds down small.

Available for all revision B Nord stage 76 and 88 models (as they come shipped with two holes in the back for the stand) the music stand does what it says on the tin. Wide enough to fit 4 A4 sheets of music, the black metal stand is very robust and good looking, just like everything made by nord. Even if you don't read sheet music while you're playing, the stand is still useful for holding set lists, notes etc. Quality!

Bought the bag to house the VS80 stand and the 2nd tier option. Bag is adequate for the stand itself, well padded and easy to carry, though the inclusion of a carry handle to compliment the strap would have been nice. Ultimate's web site tells us that the bag has "room for other accessories". Not exactly true. Trying to get the 2nd tiers in poses a bit of "Krypton Factor" style challenge. The only way I could get them in was to take them apart - which does'nt support the whole quick and easy set up idea. I even emailed Ultimate to see if there was a solution to the puzzle but have'nt heard anything so maybe they don't know either! I struggle to think what I would have done if I'd bought the mic boom and book holder! Maybe you have to buy a 2nd bag for the accessories. What a great money spinner! If you've only got the stand then this bag will keep it looking great. If you've got accessories it's up to you but you're not gonna get them all into this bag without tearing it.

This stand looks great, and is quick and easy to assemble due to its clever design. However, my initial enthusiasm has been reduced after using it for a while due to the following niggles: If you want to place the bottom keyboard in a low position (equivalent to the height of an acoustic piano) to play seated, you will find that the carrying handle gets in the way. It can be moved by unscrewing a couple of crosshead screws and sliding, but then it is in an unbalanced position for carrying. The two legs which run parallel to the keyboard stop me from placing pedals just where I need them - I have to have them too close to me, and bend my leg back to use them. Check that your keyboard does not have any sockets on the back which are right in the centre - the main pillar will make it fiddly to get to these, or maybe even impossible to use. If these three issues do not apply to your own setup, then it is a great stand.
