Taylor Hawkins came to prominence during a long road stint with multi-platinum singer Alanis Morissette and his flourish-filled playing on those tours recalled that one of his main influences, Stewart Copeland. Queen's Roger Taylor and Phil Collins have also influenced him.
Taylor joined the Foo Fighters in 1997 as their live drummer behind the album "The Colour and the Shape" and has been in the band ever since.
When not on the road with the Foo Fighters, Taylor plays in his own inspired 80's cover band, "Chevy Metal" and his own band "Taylor Hawkins and the Cottail Riders" for which he drums and sings.
