Microphones were and always will be the most loved legacy of Georg Neumann. The story starts 105 years ago in Berlin, Germany.
Founded in 1928, Neumann is the prominent manufacturer of professional recording microphones. Their best known products are condenser microphones used for radio broadcast, live events and music production.
In all, Neumann has released some 90 microphones, and going through the design specifics of each one would take a book. Models such as the solid-state U87 and U89, the tube U67, the KU80/81/100 “Fritz” binaural dummy head, the KM84/184 small-diaphragm condensers and KMS105 handheld have certainly joined other Neumann models in the category of audio classic
Pop music superstar Seal's sixth studio album, Commitment, producer David Foster relied on both a Neumann KMS 105 live vocal microphone and his personal vintage Neumann U 67.
