Billy Sheehan is a bass icon and his first full-time band was Talas, a power trio also featuring Dave Constantino on guitar and Paul Varga on drums. Sheehan has been a big name in the rock scene for over 30 years, best known as the original bassist of popular rock band Mr. Big. He has also worked with the likes of Steve Vai, David Lee Roth, Talas and Niacin and is also an internationally acclaimed solo artist.
When Mr. Big began recording a new album in September 2010, Sheehan looked to Hartke for a new approach to his classic bass tone. With Hartke’s LH1000 and HA5500C amplifiers, as well as their AK410 and 115 cabinets making up Sheehan’s new bass setup, an exciting new partnership was in place.
