Since the start of his career, Kessler has worked with a large number of artists and performers, all with various styles and characteristics. Kessler was originally trained in Classical and Latin guitar, which seemingly provided an incredible platform for the guitarist to extend his skills to other genres and create his own individual performance fashions.
In 2010, Kessler took on the demanding role of Blondie’s guitarist, replacing the bands previous axe-man Paul Carbonara. When not on tour with Blondie, he plays a guitarist in the fictional 1890s Rock Band Arsenal in the Broadway musical Rock of Ages and has done so for the past three years.
Kessler is recognized for his frequent use of Digitech effects pedals and processors. The guitarist’s performance rig includes a Line 6 delay modeler, a Pigtronix EP2 and the legendary red Whammy from Digitech.
