Can't wait to try? why not visit one of our 14 PMT House of Rock sister stores

ddrum have been manufacturing drum-kits and percussion accessories since its founding in 1983. The drum manufacturer is the sister company of Dean Guitars and create drums suited to a multitude of performers. ddrum is a rather special company in the sense that they offer customers the opportunity to customize their own kit in the ddrum USA Custom Shop, with a selection of criteria ranging from hardware options and finish to wood selection and shell dimensions.

I think it’s fair to say that the snare drum is the most important component of a kit, if the snare’s a little “off” then the whole kit just won’t sound right. The snare drum is the performers cherished kit member, which is why ddrum offer customers the option of having a “signature” snare made with custom drum wraps. For example, Travis Smith’s (Trivium) signature snare featuring custom wraps made by Rockenwraps. ddrum are a company that cares about drummers, which is why you can count on them for delivering top-quality drums with unquestionable stylishness.

John Humphrey

Drummer for the South-African post-grunge band Seether, Humphrey is a loyal customer of ddrum products. Being a big fan of warm sounding drums, he favours kits made with dark woods, extremely deep kicks and a lot of “body” such as the ddrum Dios range, made with African bubinga wood.

One of the kits Humphrey has been seen performing with is a ddrum Dios maple kit with a tequila-burst sparkle wrap. The kit featured a 6ply maple top, 10ply 20x24 maple kick drum and his signature snare, which is an 8ply maple drum with die-cast rims and has the ability to produce the “gunshot” pop that he looks for in a snare. The drummer claims he prefers ddrum wooden snares because they’re not only good for rock performance, but they’re adaptable to different genres and will work just as well in an R&B track for example.

“Their stuff is just quality made, they’re not hard to tune, they’re very easy to get sounds [from], [they have] a great punch to them and they’re just good quality products.” - John Humphrey
