Derek Roddy (born August 28, 1972) is an American extreme metal drummer from Florida. He is known for playing drums with Hate Eternal, though he has also played and recorded with Nile, Malevolent Creation, Serpent's Rise, Divine Empire, Council Of The Fallen, Today Is The Day, Traumedy, and Aurora Borealis. He is known for his extremely fast and proficient drumming and is completely self taught. Roddy is widely known among other death metal drummers for one-footing his blast beats (only using one foot for the bass-drum portion of a blast beat). more
