Let us sell your guitar for you.
Since day one, one of the areas we wanted to make our mark in was the 'pre-owned' market. Inparticular, we wanted to be able offer those hard to aquire pieces that only seem to exist in the pages of guitar mags.
Some of the guitars that have already been and gone in the short time we've been open include a '52 Tele, stunning Eastman Jazzer, Musicman Stingray, Rickenbacker 360, Rickenbacker 325, Gibson Nighthawk, Gibson ES135, Burns Bison bass, Gibson Les Paul Classic among others.
A selection of our current stock includes a PRS Custom 24 Grey/Black w/birds, Musicman Axis, Fender Std USA Tele Natural, Gretsch Bo Diddley (proper Jap version), Gibson Nighthawk Custom, Ibanez Ergodyne bass, Gibson Les Paul bass, Guild D50 12string, Martin Ltd Edition (signed inside by Chris Martin - not the bloke from Coldplay).
As a store, the biggest problem is obtaining these guitars at a price that suits both the customer and us. Someone who knows their beloved guitar is worth £1000 isn't too impressed when they're offered around £600 for it. So, always trying be different, The Guitar Shop has been able to offer a number of these guitars by providing a comission sale service.
It's so simple. Bring your guitar to us, tell us how much you want to sell it for and we'll do the rest taking a 15% comission of the sale price. So, we sell it for £1000, you get £850. It doesn't cost you a penny to put it in the store where it will be viewed by thousands of prospective buyers every week. And if you decide you can't be without it, simply come along and take it back - no problem, no charge.
So, if you don't want people wasting your time in the small ads, not sure what this Ebay thing is and don't want to sell it to a store for little more than half its value, bring it to us and we'll sell it for you. Just be realistic with your price (we'll give you an honest opinion of what you should be looking for), bring along some ID and that's it.
We look forward to seeing what you find in that case that's been in the loft all these years.....
