What is the Maximum range of the AKG WMS 40?

Published: Fri August 13, 2004  News Feed

In a room with electronic equipment, computers, metal structures etc. you can expect a range of 30 to 60 feet (10 - 20 m), provided you have placed the transmitter and the receiver optimally (receiver as high above the ground as possible and as far away as possible from other equipment and walls).

During the rehearsals, walk around on the stage to check whether there are any dead spots and try to avoid these spots during the performance. With an SR 40 diversity receiver, the probability of dead spots will be much lower than with an SR 40 single-antenna receiver. In any case, make absolutely sure the user of the transmitter can see the receiver from anywhere within the performance area. This is the only way to get consistent signal quality.
