Get Alive – National Launch

After a successful trial in Surrey, the MIA is very pleased to announce that it will be working with Classic fm to launch the Get Alive! campaign to the rest of the UK. This campaign communicates all the benefits of playing a musical instrument and is divided into three main themes:

  • Get Smart! – Making music makes you smarter
    Get Back! – Making music keeps you younger
    Get Healthy! – Making music improves your health

The campaign will be supported by a series of Classic fm programmes that will feature relevant experts and the musical experiences of consumers. The Get Alive! leaflet will be distributed through the Classic fm magazine and a Get Alive! website will be developed to help and offer advice to those seeking to learn to play or buy an instrument. Get Alive! will be launched in the Autumn, but the campaign already has the support of Myleene Klass, a Classic fm presenter, who said “Learning to play an instrument is not only fundamental in developing new skills and musical
awareness, but it is a fantastic communicator. Learning to play the piano was for me without a doubt the best thing I could ever have done.”
