Dunlop Releases Full-Sized Band of Gypsys Fuzz Face
This JHF3 Band Of Gypsys Fuzz Face is a Limited-Edition recreation of the most mysterious Fuzz pedal Jimi Hendrix ever used for some of his most legendary gigs - the white knob Fuzz Face, originally modded for Jimi by Roger Meyer, to give it a more aggressive and rawer sound than usual Fuzz Faces! It sounded like a mix between a normal Fuzz Face and an Octavia without teh octave up effect. The best Fuzz Face yet? Quite possibly!
The pedal itself has been lost to history, but its unmistakably unique tone lives on in the recordings of those three iconic shows, and Hendrix aficionados have tried to cop that sound for years. Here's a clip of Hendrix using the original "Band of Gypsys" Fuzz Face, in Woodstock 1969:
The new DUNLOP JHF3 FUZZ FACE BAND OF GYPSYS is the best yet attempt to capture his original tone...
