Dee Dee, who died aged just 50 in 2002, is one of the most iconic figures from the CBGB's New York punk scene in the seventies, and he co-wrote some of the most memorable Ramones tunes.
For most of his career, a Fender Precision bass was his instrument of choice, and now Fender has finally decided to honour his memory with what looks like a beautiful bass guitar that'll certainly be one of the coolest releases in 2015 - and the year has not even started yet!
The Fender Dee Dee Ramone Precision Bass features an alder body with a split single-coil pickup and "C" Shape maple neck with a maple fingerboard and a 9.5" radius and 20 Vintage-style frets maximize comfort and playability.
Chrome hardware includes a Standard Vintage 4 saddle bass bridge and open gear tuners. Other features include a Dee Dee Ramone signature decal on the back of the headstock, and a special “One Two Three Four” engraved neck plate. A deluxe Fender Gig Bag is included, along with an exclusive booklet.
