Biffy Clyro - 'Opposite' Acoustic

Biffy Clyro - 'Opposite' Acoustic

It's an uncommon (in both senses of the word) acoustic performance from Biffy Clyro, playing in London for Takamine. Even with such a moving song we can't help but don our geargoggles to take a look at what's being used.

It appears the acoustic is being recorded with the humble sE Electronics X1 mic, an entry level microphone but with sE that still means a hand built capsule and strict quality control. Using a Takamine PD7C and being Simon Neil doesn't exactly hurt for a rich, articulate sound.

James is using his signature bass (more on that below) and an SM58 vocal mic, while Ben's on an SM7B and a Latin Percussion Cajon/Tambourine.
