For now we can only speculate and frankly we're more worried about packing the geargoggles than a cagoule. Here's our pick of the one's to watch at Glasto 2013.
Best Of British
It's not every year that so many of the top slots go to British artists and it's great to see the Arctic Monkeys, Stones, Mumfords, Elvis Costello, Jake Bugg and Dizzee Rascal representing many eras and genres of music. Notable absences are Emeli Sande. Coldplay and Adele but you can't have it all. Our pick from the Pyramid stage though would be Californians Haim, they've had a great year so far and there's nothing quite like the live energy of a band who are well and truly on their way.Alternative Roster
Over on the other side there's some established UK heavyweights in the form of Portishead, Foals, Alt-J, The Horrors and Django Django. But if you're a true 6 Music listening, turn-up sporting, blog reading fan then you'll be hip to them already no doubt. Fortunately there's plenty of up and comers in the form of Jagwar Ma, Deap Vally, Matthew E. White and Liverpool's own Stealing Sheep.Big guns coming from outside the UK include Major Lazer, Cat Power, Tom Tom Club, Dinosaur Jr. and Nas, surely enough to make the most hardened hipster consider listening to a band that has a back catalogue consisting of more than a single track on a private Soundcloud URL.
Acoustically Inclined
It isn't all fireworks, Marshall Stacks and bass bins however with tons of great acoustic acts playing. Whether you're a more relaxed soul or just need a break from binging on harder acts the Acoustic Stage has Steve Winwood, KT Tunstall and Stornoway, we would also recommend Calexico for something a little different. Just don't expect the hangover to improve when the Proclaimers are on, acoustic doesn't go far enough, unamplified altogether might be better.
