Ed O'Brien's Line 6 Gear
Radiohead, as most of you may know, are an English Rock band from Oxfordshire. Formed in 1985, Radiohead have produced 8 studio albums, selling over 30 million copies worldwide and in 2005, were ranked at number 73 on Rolling Stone’s list of Greatest Artists of all Time.
Radiohead’s guitarist and backing vocalist Ed O’Brien is recognized for his large collection of effects pedals used to create Radiohead’s distinct sound. One of O’Brien’s most frequently used pedals in both Radiohead and 7 Worlds Collide is the Line 6 DL4, which makes an appearance on A LOT of tracks on Kid A and Amnesiac.
As well as being responsible for the band’s harmonies and vocals during their live performances, O’Brien is also an accomplished drummer; though his only drum contributions for Radiohead to date have been tom drums on live performances of Hail to the Thief track ‘There There’, a task he shares with bandmate Jonny Greenwood.
