Roland GC-1 Fender & G5 Fender V-Guitars
The new GK Ready Stratocaster and the VG Stratocaster are a revolution in musical instrument design.
Roland rewrote guitar technology history with the debut of the COSM technology which first appeared in the pioneering VG-8 guitar modelling system. Today the new VG Stratocaster G-5 infuses a classic Fender Stratocaster with advanced features of Roland's COSM technology. It offers all the classic sound of a Fender Strat combined with a new world of electric and acoustic guitar tones recreated by COSM. This includes instantly accessible alternate tunings and even a 12 string sound. It also offers modelled pickup tones with a huge range of tonal opportunities from single coils to humbuckers. This is all driven by an inconspicuously mounted GK-3 Divided Pickup.
As an instrument the VG Stratocaster G-5 is just an authentic Fender Strat. It features a solid contoured body, 22 frets on a maple neck which is available with a rosewood or maple fingerboard, 3 American Strat Alnico 5 Pickups, basically all the usual world class components that you would expect from a Fender Strat. It is available in Classic Sunburst with a Rosewood fingerboard or Black finish with a Maple fingerboard.
The next addition to the line is the GC-1 GK-Ready Stratocaster which can be directly connected to the GR-55 Guitar Synth and the VG-99 V Guitar System. Again combining an authentic Fender Stratocaster and a special discrete Roland divided pickup this can be used as a simple Fender Stratocaster with all its 50 years of design or in addition with the revolutionary V Guitar equipment.

The GK Ready Strat GC-1 has an intuitive control panel including a knob and switches that allow the player to control various functions of the 13 pin compatible devices directly from the guitar, as well as blend the natural Strat tone with that of the GK driven sound.
To help identify and define these advanced products, Roland has created a new category called "V Guitar" that will include all the 13 pin compatible products which includes the VG-/VB-99, GR-55 and Divided Pickup and a 13 pin output for connecting to the Guitar Synthesiser and V Guitar Systems. The GC-1 GK Ready Stratocaster is available in Classic Sunburst with a Rosewood Fingerboard and Natural Black with a Maple Fingerboard.
