New Models from Ibanez: for NAMM 2012
New Ibanez Guitars for NAMM 2012
NAMM 2012 will be seeing the introduction to a huge number of new electric guitars from Ibanez. As if their catalogue wasn’t already bursting at the seams, Ibanez are delivering us some new models for the RG Premium and Prestige series, a new George Benson arch-top guitar and more, including new additions to the very reasonably priced GRG, SA and ART ranges. Here's a little look at some of their newbies.
The new RG models feature a brand new bridge design with the Tight-End R which actually improves the transfer of string vibration and stabilizes the guitars tuning. Featuring a 5-piece maple/walnut KTS titanium reinforced neck, basswood body, jumbo frets and Cosmo black hardware.
The RG3521 was constructed using a selection of top quality materials with the finest components. With the inclusion of DiMarzio Air Norton and Tone Zone pickups, the RG3521 can create a crisp and distinct tone which sounds just as incredible through a clean channel as it does when it’s smothered in a blanket of distortion and overdrive.
Ibanez George Benson Signature
George Benson, the legendary “Jazzician” has been playing Ibanez guitars for as long as anyone can remember.
"Arch-tops are my love and passion... I use Ibanez guitars for live performances. These guitars are consistent and I always know what I'm going to get when I plug them in, I designed them that way!" - George Benson
Just like all Ibanez guitars, the George Benson Signature Model is pure quality, built to last. Features include a 3-piece maple LGB maple set neck, maple back and sides with a spruce top and rosewood fingerboard.
This new updated arch-top features a number of improvements from its elder, such as the beautifully elegant Florentine cutaway. With a wider neck than its predecessor, new Gotoh 510 tuning pegs, Super 58 neck and bridge humbuckers and a bridge fashioned from ebony with an LGB300 tailpiece, the new Ibanez George Benson Signature arch-top delivers a crisp clean tone, perfect for traditional jazz style guitar playing.
... And there's even more to come!
