Ready for Renaissance?

Akai present us with an all-new, MPC Music Production Controller. Changing the game again, like they have been for 25 years, Akai bring you the MPC Renaissance Music Production Controller: iconic MPC sound, and a vintage mode to take your sound back in time. This is just one of three products they'll be releasing to us this month, along with an slimline MPC Studio and a dedicated music production controller for iPad 2 users, the MPC Fly. You'll have to hang on to the edges of your seats for the latter two products, Akai will be premiering their videos over the next week or so, so keep on the look out if you're after a slimline MPC or are an iPad 2 user looking for some new gear.

MPC Renaissance MPC Software

Akai MPC Renaissance Music Production Controller & Software

Akai describe their MPC Renaissance as a fusion of their legendary MPC layout and workflow - and it's set to be an unrivaled music production instrument. Allowing you to create music using classic hardware controls, the MPC Renaisasance has exclusive MPC Software for Mac or PC with 64-track sequencing capability, a massive 6GB+ sound library including all of the sounds from the classic MPC300 and is able to run standalone as a VST, AU or RTAS plug in and supports samples and sequences from any MPC ever made.

Renaissance Vintage Mode

The Akai MPC Renaissance not only allows you to revist the classical MPC's with the power of your computer, but it's Vintage Mode changes the output sound character to the classic MPC3000, MPC60 and more. The Renaissance's hardware main features are its 16 backlit MPC pads with 16 Q-Link controls and an adjustable backlit LCD screen and has up to eight pad banks - more than any other MPC ever.

Take a look at some slimmer MPC's also new for 2012, the MPC STUDIO and MPC Fly.
