Roland’s Octapad SPD-30 has been flagged up as one of the best drum-related items to come out in the last month by MusicRadar magazine.

They said the device is a ‘winner’, because it allows drummers to add electronic sounds to an acoustic kit with very little effort.

MusicRadar, which handed a five-star rating to the SPD-30, added that this new device is the latest in a long line of tools that have proved they can deliver results.

 The device is the size of a briefcase but offers accurate and even pad triggering, as well as a function that lets users record their own performances.
