Touch Sensitive Keys – Which means that the harder you press the key the louder it sounds, just like how an acoustic piano would react.

Voices – With this huge selection of different sounds you are sure to find a sound that suits your piece of music perfectly, or you could let the keyboard pick the most appropriate sound automatically for you using the brilliant one touch setting feature. The realism of the Yamaha sounds is exceptional as they are the only manufacturer to also make all of the acoustic instruments, be it a treble recorder or a concert grand piano.

Styles – These are far more than just a drum beat, they are an entire backing band, with such a variety to choose from, if you enjoy R&B or Big band or anything in between you are sure to find many styles to suit your particular taste.

6-track Recorder – Your very own mini recording studio, just like when today’s stars record songs building one track upon another track, you can record your own playing a track at a time – great fun!

Arpeggiator – This enables you to create impressive sounding musical effects by just holding down a few notes and let the keyboards do the rest, from subtle piano type effects to the latest dance music this features lets you do it all!

Music Database – With so many possibilities of sounds and styles, you might like the keyboard to make all the decisions for you, this great feature does all that for hundreds of the world’s most popular pieces of music.

Real Time Sound controllers – These effects were first made very popular in the eighties and have now made a resurgence in today’s popular music, create fantastic effects to the overall sound by just manipulating these controllers – you’ll sound like a pro in no time!

Graded Soft Touch keyboard – When you play an acoustic piano the keys are heavier to press in the bass (left hand side) and progressively get lighter as work towards the treble (right hand side), this keyboard replicates that grading.

USB To Device – You can save your recordings onto a generic USB stick and play them back. This is really handy for students who want to take their work into school/college to import into their computers for editing, printing etc.

GHS Action – This super quality action not only replicates the grading of an acoustic piano (it feels heavier to press from left to right), but it also is weighted the same, meaning that the playing experience is incredibly realistic to how it would be on a quality acoustic piano.

High Quality DSP – Adds incredibly realistic effects to the already stunning sounds to create an amazing overall sound.

Yamaha Education Suite inc. Lyrics And Score Display – A fun way to help the novice start to play, following the built in songs with the help of the informative guide system in the screen you can achieve great sounding results quickly and easily.

Includes Stand & Sustain Pedal – Not only does this piano sound great but it also looks the part on its matching stand, the instrument is very slim line and contemporary, it also comes complete with a sustain pedal to allow authentic traditional piano playing.

Poly – This means the number of notes that can sound at any one time. If the maximum quota is exceeded then the notes that are least audible are taken away – not the first ones you played, this musical approach to polyphony is unique to Yamaha and gives the player confidence that their performance will not be compromised by common limitations of an electronic device.

Reverb – Enables you to recreate the ambience of a huge concert auditorium in your own living room incredibly realistically.

Dual Voice – Enables you to combine two sounds together at the same time, for example, piano and strings.

Metronome – Enables you to keep in time when practicing a new piece of music or scales, it also transmits through your headphones for when you want silent practice.

Two Track Recorder – Record two tracks of music independently and play them back together, or record one part in and practice the other part when playing it back, this is a really useful teaching tool.

3 Pedals with Half Pedal – This replicates what an acoustic piano which is a mechanical device can achieve, meaning that subtle damping effects only previously available on acoustic instruments is now possible thanks to Yamaha’s musical approach to its digital pianos.

Damper Resonance & Reverb – This very cleverly recreates the subtle sympathetic resonance you would experience when playing an acoustic piano. Reverb enables you to recreate the ambience of a huge concert auditorium in your own living room incredibly realistically.

Graded Hammer Standard keyboard – This super quality action not only replicates the grading of an acoustic piano (it feels heavier to press in the left and progressively gets lighter to right), but it also is weighted the same, meaning that the playing experience is incredibly realistic to how it would be on a quality acoustic piano.

Backlit LCD display – This display enables you to clearly see information you have selected such as which voice, which style, tempo etc even in a dimly lit room.

Polyphony – This means the number of notes that can sound at any one time. If the maximum quota is exceeded then the notes that are least audible are taken away – not the first ones you played, this musical approach to polyphony is unique to Yamaha and gives the player confidence that their performance will not be compromised by common limitations of an electronic device.

MIDI Connection – Allows connection to other MIDI instruments or your home PC
