PreSonus Interfaces Are Compatiable With Snow Leopard And Windows 7
PreSonus is happy to announce that all of our interfaces are compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, better known as Snow Leopard! The AudioBox™, FireBox™, Inspire™ 1394, and FP10™ work with Snow Leopard right now, no updates required. And PreSonus Universal Control 3.4.2 control-panel software makes all FireStudio™-series interfaces (including the StudioLive™ 16.4.2 and 24.4.2 digital mixers) compatible with Snow Leopard. The public beta of Universal Control 3.4.2 is available now at the Technical Support/Downloads section of the PreSonus web site. The final version is expected imminently.
With the release of new drivers for the FireBox™, FP10™, FirePod™, and Inspire™ 1394 recording interfaces, all currently available PreSonus recording interfaces are now fully compatible with Windows 7. (These devices are class compliant with Mac OS X, so they work on a Mac without a driver.)
The new drivers can be downloaded from the PreSonus Web site in the Technical Support/Downloads section.
In January 2010, PreSonus released a pubic-beta version of its Universal Control drivers that provided complete Windows 7 and Snow Leopard compatibility for the FireStudio™ line of interfaces, including the StudioLive™ family of digital mixers. The final, shipping versions of these Universal Control drivers are expected to be released imminently.
