For 30 years now, Tascam has been the leading manufacturer of portastudios, and they're still going strong, and still offering the best models available on the market today, which mix analog feel with digital technology. Learn more and check the best offers!

Tascam: 30 Years of Portastudios...and Still Going Strong!

TASCAM invented the home recording studio with the original cassette Portastudio, and have manufactured some of the most well-beloved recording gear ever, such as the popular Tascam 244 and Tascam 414mk2 tape recorders, which are still sought-after on eBay, by the analog tape enthusiasts:

Old but goldies: Tascam 244 (left) and Tascam 414 - popular analog models

But Tascam have moved on with times, of course, and digital recorders are where it's at, now - they are versatile and more flexible, and make operations such as deleting tracks, undoing, editing, adding FX, saving and bouncing tracks much quicker and easier. Not to mention you can store many more hours of music, with CD-quality audio.

However, as technology and features improved, something was lost by most digital recorders - they lost the simplicity that appealed to the previous generations of (tape-recording) musicians. Until, that is, Tascam came forward to save the day!

YOUR IDEAL HOME STUDIO RECORDER...

The new DP-004 4-track recorder and DP-008 8-track recorder models by Tascam are here, and they're  just as easy to use as the original analogue cassette portable recorders! But, being digital, they offer much more features, and are perfect for the modern musician who wants quality, versatility...and simplicity!
