Metallica guitarist’s £10,000 limited edition model on sale

Kirk Hammett’s flagship, £10,000 Randall guitar amp arrives in the UK this month (March), coinciding with Metallica’s arrival for its UK tour. Hammett will be using this identical amp throughout.

Kirk Hammett is a long-term member of the heavy metal combo and he has now completed his endorsement of Randall guitar amps with a flagship limited edition ‘monster’ (which is how the amp maker puts it.

“Taking guitar amps to another level, the highly collectable RM100KH Limited Stack celebrates Kirk’s debut Randall range,” a Randall statement read. “Built using all solid tiger maple construction and top grade flame maple top, this 100-Watt power house is the ultimate addition to any guitarist’s set-up or the perfect showcase for any premier recording studio or rehearsal room.” The finish is topped off with chrome hardware.

For those of us who can’t quite do the 10,000 pound amp thing, there is a far more affordable range aimed at normal folk who dont’ drive ivory cars and eat gold cornflakes.

Kirk made it very clear from the start that he wanted to develop a full line of amplifiers that would provide fans his signature tone at any price point.

The KH15 is equipped with a Clean, Overdrive and Boost mode and is the perfect practice amp for both the professional and beginning guitarist.
