NME Award nominations: Glasvegas

Spotted by former Creation Records main man Alan McGee, Glasvegas found themselves at the centre of a bidding war from several major labels. A short time later and NME readers voted their single ‘Daddy’s Gone’ as the second best single of the year!

Glasvegas have received 2 nominations for the NME Awards!
They are shortlisted in the Best New Band (supported by Bench) and Best Album (supported by HMV) categories. . The winners will be announced during the Shockwaves NME Awards 2009 ceremony, which takes place on Feb 25th at London’s Brixton Academy.
They embark on a UK tour starting tomorrow in Liverpool
