Dolphin Music Technology Teacher Training Event Annouced

Published: Fri June 17, 2005  News Feed

The demonstrator for both the Introductory Session and Two Day Intensive Course is Greg Parker, a PGCE qualified teacher employed at Gladesmore Community School and the Haringey City Learning Centre in Tottenham, London. Greg is also a consultant to among others Imperial College London, and has helped the university to set up a successful Music Technology suite in which he now delivers a programme of evening courses. Greg is available for indepenent music technology consultancy services by calling 0870 8409060.

The technology now available is amazing. Students can produce work of a very high standard even on a modest set up. This inspires them, engages them and alows learning on many levels with raised aspirations. Music Technology is going to be a big thing in education and despite what some say will not undermine the teaching of ‘real’ music. On the contrary if utilised to facilitate music education and production the technology is of course a great help. Greg always teaches his students that it is the Music in Music Technology to which they should look first.
