New Ampeg bass amps for NAMM 2009!
The Ampeg Micro-VR Head is a compact powerhouse, delivering 200 watts of genuine Ampeg tone into live and recording situations. The companion SVT-210AV Cabinet features two 10″ Eminence speakers and classic Ampeg looks. The entire rig is the ultra-portable alternative to a full SVT rig and is ideal for bleed-sensitive recording situations and smaller shows. True Ampeg tone in a tiny package.
Ampeg expands its BassAmp Series with four new combo amps, each combining professional-grade power with extreme portability, durability and tonal versatility. Two 300 watt versions are available, with different speaker complements.
The BA300/115 sports a single 15″ driver while the BA300/210 can really move some air with two 10″ speakers. The BA600/115 and BA600/210 provide up to 600 watts of power, making them the perfect combo for performing artists who need more juice.
Dan Armstrong 40th Anniversary!
Ampeg announces new commemorative Dan Armstrong models, the ADA6AV and ADA4AV 40th Anniversary Editions and the ADA6LTD and ADA4LTD Limited Editions. The new models retain the legendary diamond-cut, “see-through” acrylic body, and shine brighter than ever with a stylish mirrored pickguard and headstock. The LTD models are extremely limited with fewer than 100 guitars and basses available worldwide and include a laser etched Ampeg anniversary logo on the body.

The all-new FCC and FCF models feature ultra-slim chambered bodies that retain the true tonal character provided by the select tonewood top. There are two classical, nylon string versions available with spruce or cedar tops and two folk, steel string models with natural select spruce, quilted maple or koa tops. The new family incorporates Fishman Aura IC electronics, which provides all the technological benefits of the renowned Aura series in a much slimmer design.
There are tons of new Alvarez guitars this year, including brand new basses and jumbos in the Artist Series. The entry-level Regent Series has eight new models, boasting a family that features solid spruce tops. And the flagship Masterworks Series sees the introduction of two new models with a solid spruce top jumbo and solid spruce top dreadnought.
Mackie announces 20 years since they first rocked the foundations of pro audio with the introduction of the CR-1604 Compact Mixer. Over the course of two decades, Mackie has released countless innovative products that have irrevocably shaped the music industry. Mackie’s history is full of breakthrough products which have gone on to create and define a number of new categories. The categories created by such innovative products like the CR-1604, HR824, SRM450 and MCU are now industry standard.
EAW is exhibiting the JFL210 Compact Constant Curvature Line Array and unveiling its compatible sub, the JFL118 Subwoofer. The JFL210 compact line array features a range of EAW’s most innovative line array technologies within a mobile, lightweight package that’s an ideal solution for a multitude of small- and medium-sized applications, including portable and installed A/V as well as musician/DJ uses, and with the introduction of the JFL118, now offers a turnkey loudspeaker solution.
The MicroWedge15 Stage Monitor is the newest addition to the MicroWedge Series of products. The 15-inch MicroWedge15, a direct result of extensive research and field evaluation with FOH/monitor engineers, leading touring companies and audio consultants, joins the 12-inch MicroWedge12 (MW12) as the most recent product in the MicroWedge line.
