Older, wiser, but definitely still the New Kids on The Block...
After months of rumours New Kids on the Block have reunited for a new album and world tour.
Having disbanded in 1994, several attempts were made to get the group back together - including VH1’s “bands reunited” show, all of them unsuccessful. They reunited in 2008, took on a new style and have released a new album entitled ‘The Block’. They are now embarking on a sold out world tour in support of the new recording.
New Kids member Donnie Wahlberg is playing a Yamaha RGX A2 for part of the show and long time Yamaha endorsee Mike “ Fish” Herring will be playing guitar in the band and has brought out his arsenal of Yamaha’s which include the SG1000, CPX900, SLG100S, & PAC612V.
The boy band, which made legions of fans swoon in the early '90s, selling more than 70 million albums worldwide, became an international phenomenon before calling it quits.
The group's reunion tour, New Kids on the Block: Live, began at Toronto's Air Canada Centre on September 18, 2008. There are seven concerts scheduled for Canada, forty-one in the US and ten in the UK.
