Matt has the 'X' factor with Kylie
When talented young UK drummer Matt was asked to provide the beats on Kylie's European tour, he took on his biggest gig to date.
The "X" tour Started in May in Europe and wound it's way to the UK in July, finishing with and incredible 8 sold out nights at the world’s most popular venue, the 20,000 seat O2 arena.
The production even took in two stages, as Kylie used a second stage that rose from the floor were Kylie introduces Matt 'The Machine' and her band during a rocking version of the song 'two hearts'. The show spanned all of Kylie’s career, from "I Should Be So Lucky" right up to "Two Hearts" and "Wow!" from the new record.
Matt has been using the brand new DTXTreme III. "The sampling capabilities are amazing, and so easy to do. It means I can recreate all the sounds off Kylie's record every night easily, also the playing and response from the pads is the best I've ever used."
Having played Yamaha Maple Custom for years, Matt turned to the Maple Custom Absolute to provide the groove, tone and look he needed. "The kit's are wonderful. They are great fun to play and have exactly the right tone and sound that I need for this tour. The toms are so loud and the sparkle finishes are a big hit with Kylie. The play backs of the show sound massive and everything is feeling wonderful. I feel very lucky to have been so well looked after!"
