PreSonus unveils five new music production tools
News FeedDedicated to providing innovative music production tools that help to streamline the creative process, PreSonus has announced five new products for recording musicians.
Aimed at getting desktop music production away from the mouse and onto an ergonomic control surface, the FaderPort USB/MIDI controller offers a smooth, console-style fader and dedicated button control over essential DAW record, mix and edit commands. The intuitive controls make previously tricky mouse-driven editing tasks, like drawing fade automation, as easy as sliding a fader.
The FireStudio 2626 FireWire recording system features eight class A mic preamps, S/PDIF, MIDI and up to 16 channels of ADAT I/O. Primarily aimed at project studios who need to record large numbers of simultaneous inputs, scalability is enabled by daisy-chaining multiple units. Like all other products in the PreSonus FireWire range, FireStudio comes complete with Cubase LE production software and over 2GB of free audio loops and plug-ins.
FireStudio can be augmented with the optional MSR – Monitor Station Remote, which gives hands-on control over monitor levels and modes (track, mix and surround), and includes two independent headphone amplifiers.
Owners of ADAT light pipe equipped digital audio systems can beef up their I/O with the DigiMax FS , a high-quality, eight-channel mic preamp, loaded with inserts and direct outputs on every channel. DigiMAX FS is compatible with DigiDesign’s 002, DigiDesign HD systems, RME, Yamaha DM digital mixers and the PreSonus FireStudio.
The V-FIRE is an innovative 24-bit/96k R-BUS to FireWire computer recording system that adds a 16 channel digital audio interface to any Roland R-BUS equipped gear. V-FIRE makes it fast and simple to connect R-BUS equipment to a PC/MAC FireWire port to enable high-speed recording. The V-FIRE includes a software control panel enabling the user to select the sample rate (44.1K, 48K, 88.2K, and 96K), latency, buffer size and clock source.
PreSonus, who recently appointed HHB as their UK distributor, have established their reputation based on a range of great-sounding, super-stable FireWire audio interfaces, preamplifiers and processors, all designed to enhance the recording and production experience.
